Manual topics
Home screen and login
App entry, authentication, current plan and initial setup.
What happens when I open the app?
- The app opens the splash screen, loads the language and goes through authentication before releasing the main screen.
- After login, the app checks the plan, license, device and enables the features compatible with the account.
Why does the app sometimes ask for internet?
- Playback works offline, but login, license, subscription, manual license and community require internet.
- When periodic verification is required, the app shows a screen asking for connection until it validates again.
How do I change the app language?
- Open the app menu, expand the Language section and choose PT, EN or ES.
Does the screen stay on during the show?
- Yes. The app keeps the screen on while it is open to prevent locking during the performance.
How to add music files to the device
Organize the files on your phone or tablet so VS Live Pro can recognize Stereo Split and Multitrack correctly.
Where should I place my music files?
- Copy or move your music files to a folder on the device.
- Then, in VS Live Pro, tap Select Folder and choose the exact folder where the files are saved.
- If you choose the wrong folder, above or below the actual audio folder, the songs may not appear in the library.
Which file organization formats does the app recognize?
- VS Live Pro recognizes songs in Stereo Split (L/R) and also in Multitrack with separate files per channel.
- In both cases, keep the files inside the same folder selected in the app.
- Use clear file names to make identification easier in the library and queue.
How does Stereo Split (L/R) work?
- Stereo Split means the backing track and click are in the same audio file, separated by channel: one side with the backing track and the other side with the click.
- In this case, the file is a normal song file, for example: SONG NAME.mp3.
- After selecting the folder, the app lists the song in the library so you can add it to the playback queue.
- If the click is on the wrong side, use the invert channels button on the song. This setting is saved for that song/setlist until you add or configure it again.
How does Multitrack work?
- Multitrack means each instrument, guide, voice, click or channel is in a separate file.
- For the app to automatically group everything, all files from the same song must have the same base name.
- The channel name must be placed in parentheses at the end of the file name.
- You can use up to 16 channels per song, including CLICK.
How should I name Multitrack files?
- Always use the same base name for all files from the same song.
- After the base name, put the channel name in parentheses.
- Example: SONG NAME (CLICK).mp3
- Example: SONG NAME (KEYS).mp3
- Example: SONG NAME (GUITAR).mp3
- Example: SONG NAME (PERCUSSION).mp3
- The app understands that these files belong to the same song and groups everything automatically.
Can I choose any name inside the parentheses?
- Yes. You can use names such as CLICK, BASS, DRUMS, KEYS, GUITAR, PERCUSSION, GUIDE VOICE or any other name that helps your organization.
- The key point is to keep the same base name before the parentheses.
- Correct example: MY SONG (CLICK).mp3 and MY SONG (BASS).mp3.
- Problematic example: MY SONG (CLICK).mp3 and MY NEW SONG (BASS).mp3, because the base name is not the same.
What should I do after the songs appear in the library?
- Tap a song in the library to add it to the playback queue.
- Then, if needed, add pauses to the repertoire.
- When there is a pause in the queue, playback will pause automatically and wait for Play to continue.
- Use the player controls, PADS, volumes, BUS and Stems to run the live show.
Tips to avoid recognition problems
- Keep all files from the same song in the same folder.
- Avoid renaming or moving files after saving setlists.
- Check that the base name is exactly the same in Multitrack files.
- Use audio extensions compatible with the app.
- Before the show, open the folder in the app, add the songs to the queue and test playback calmly.
Library screen
Where you select the folder containing backing tracks, playbacks, clicks, guide tracks and stems.
How do I load my songs?
- Tap the library button and select the folder where your files are located.
- The app prepares the list and saves the folder to make future access easier.
What should I do if the folder appears empty?
- Check that the files are actually inside the selected folder.
- Avoid selecting a folder above or below the real audio folder.
Can I change the folder later?
- Yes. Open the library again and select another folder.
- After that, check your setlists, because moved or renamed files may not be found.
What happens if a song disappears from the device?
- The app identifies that the file is not available and reports the problem instead of getting stuck in infinite loading.
Playback Queue screen
The real show order: songs, pauses, next track and already played items.
How do I build the queue?
- Tap songs in the library to add them to the queue.
- Organize the order before the show to reduce risk on stage.
What does the queue save?
- The queue saves name, path, duration, played status, L/R inversion, stereo split mode and stems when multitrack is available.
- This information is also included in saved setlists.
How do I know the total show time?
- The app calculates the total duration of the queue/setlist.
- Programmed pauses appear in the playback queue and in the repertoire PDF.
Is there a song limit in the queue?
- FREE: smaller limit to try the app.
- 7-day access: larger limit.
- Recurring Pro: songs and setlists with no practical limit.
Player / Playback screen
Large controls to play, pause, stop and advance during the show.
What is PLAY for?
- Starts the selected song or resumes paused playback.
- Use it before the beginning of each track or after a pause.
What is the difference between PAUSE and STOP?
- PAUSE keeps the current song position.
- STOP ends playback and returns to the stopped state.
What does NEXT do?
- Advances to the next song or next queue action.
- After a programmed pause, use NEXT to continue the repertoire.
What appears at the end of the show?
- When the queue reaches the end, the app shows the end-of-show screen.
- Tap the screen to close the message.
Two-finger volume control
A quick volume control that works by rotating two fingers like a knob/potentiometer.
How does two-finger volume control work?
- Touch a compatible area with 2 fingers at the same time.
- Rotate both fingers as if you were turning a physical knob/potentiometer.
- Turning clockwise increases the gain.
- Turning counterclockwise lowers the gain.
- The app shows the TRACK MASTER overlay with the dB value while you adjust it.
Where can I use this feature?
- On the empty area of the main app screen.
- On the Stems area, after tapping a song in the playback queue.
- On the PADS area.
How do I use it on the main screen?
- On the main screen, touch an empty area with 2 fingers, away from the main buttons.
- Keep both fingers on the screen and rotate them like a knob.
- This adjusts the TRACK MASTER for the current/selected song by changing the overall stem gain.
How do I use it in the Stems area?
- Tap a song in the playback queue to open the Stems area.
- In the Stems area, touch with 2 fingers and rotate like a knob.
- This adjusts the TRACK MASTER for that song while keeping the overall stem balance and saving the gain in dB.
How do I use it on the PADS screen?
- On the PADS screen, touch the pads area with 2 fingers.
- Rotate both fingers like a knob to raise or lower the TRACK MASTER for the active/selected song.
- This shortcut lets you correct volume quickly without leaving PADS navigation.
What does this control change?
- The gesture adjusts the song overall gain in dB, like a TRACK MASTER.
- The value is limited between -36.0 dB and +36.0 dB.
- Near 0 dB, the app may snap the value to 0.0 dB to make it easier to return to the original volume.
When should I use it carefully?
- During a live performance, use small and smooth rotations to avoid sudden volume changes.
- Always test the gesture before the show so you get used to the knob response.
PADS Screen
Turns the queue into large buttons for fast navigation during the show.
How do I open PADS?
- Tap the grid icon on the main screen.
- Each song in the queue becomes a visual PAD.
What happens with 2 taps on a PAD?
- Double-tapping a song PAD plays that song directly.
- Use this when you want to start a specific song immediately from the PADS screen.
What happens with 1 tap on the active PAD?
- Tapping the active PAD opens the Restart and Stop options.
- Use Restart to start the current song again from the beginning.
- Use Stop to stop the current playback.
What happens with 1 tap on a non-active PAD?
- Tapping a non-active song PAD opens the option to set it as the next song.
- This lets you prepare the next song without starting it immediately.
How does the active pause PAD work?
- When you tap the active Pause PAD, the app opens the option to play the next song.
- Use this option to leave the pause and continue the repertoire.
How does a non-active pause PAD work?
- When you tap a non-active Pause PAD, the app opens the option to set that pause as next.
- This lets you prepare the next stop in the show without starting anything immediately.
Can I reorder the queue using PADS?
- Yes. Tap and hold the PAD you want to move.
- While holding the PAD, drag it to the new position in the queue.
- Release the PAD when it is in the correct place.
- Use this mainly while preparing the repertoire before the show.
- During a live performance, use it carefully to avoid changing the order by mistake.
Routing & Volumes screen
BUS control, volumes, audio output and show routing.
What is BUS?
- BUS is the internal output used by the app to separate backing track, click, guide and stems.
- The app works with Multi BUS and adapts the BUSes to the real number of channels in the current output.
Why do not all BUSes appear?
- The app shows only the BUSes possible for the current output.
- If the native output has few channels, fewer BUSes are available. With a multichannel interface, more BUSes may appear.
Are the volumes independent?
- Yes. Each BUS can have independent volume.
- Changes are applied in real time and can be saved.
Does routing change when switching interface?
- The app adapts routing according to the number of available channels.
- When returning to the native output, incompatible routes are adjusted to the real output.
Stems / Multitrack screen
Individual control of channels, stems, gain, mute, solo and click.
Does the app recognize multitrack?
- Yes. VS Live Pro recognizes stems from the same song and organizes the channels for multitrack playback.
- Stems such as click receive special ordering and routing handling.
What can I adjust per stem?
- On each stem/channel, you can adjust BUS, enable/disable Mute, use Solo when available and control individual gain in dB.
- Stem gain can go from -36 dB to +36 dB.
How do I change the BUS of a stem?
- Tap the song inside the playback queue to open the Stems area.
- Locate the channel/stem you want to send to another output.
- Use the BUS selector on the channel itself to choose the correct destination, according to the BUSes available on the current output or connected interface.
- The app adapts BUS options to the real number of channels available on the device or interface.
How do I adjust the individual volume of a stem?
- In the Stems area, tap and hold the channel/stem you want to adjust.
- When holding the channel, the app lets you change the individual volume/gain of that stem.
- Use this when you need to increase or decrease only one instrument, voice, click, guide or cue track without changing the overall song volume.
- This control is different from the two-finger TRACK MASTER: here the adjustment is individual to the selected stem/channel.
What is the Mute button for?
- The Mute button silences only that stem/channel.
- Use Mute to temporarily remove an instrument, voice, click, guide or any specific channel from playback.
- When Mute is disabled, the stem plays again according to the configured volume, gain and BUS.
Are the settings saved?
- Yes. The app saves BUS, mute, solo and gain per song.
- When opened again, the settings are automatically reapplied.
What if the file is not a real multitrack?
- The app can handle stereo split files, creating a practical separation between backing track and click when applicable.
Click, Stereo Split and Invert L/R
Separation between public audio and musician audio.
How do I separate click and backing track?
- In stereo split files, one side can contain the backing track and the other the click.
- In real multitrack, separation is done by stem/channel.
What is Invert L/R for?
- Quickly corrects when the backing track and click are on the wrong sides.
- The setting is saved automatically.
Can the click go to a specific BUS?
- Yes. The click can be routed to the desired BUS, according to the available output.
Setlists screen
Save, load, delete and reuse repertoires.
How do I save a setlist?
- Build the show queue and save it with a name.
- Then you can load that repertoire in another rehearsal or performance.

Separation of blocks, speaking moments, ministry or instrument changes.
How do I use a pause?
- Add the pause as a queue item.
- It appears between songs and also appears in the repertoire PDF.
What happens when the pause is reached?
- The app informs that there is a programmed pause and automatically pauses playback.
- Use PLAY or double-tap PADS to continue.
USB Audio Interfaces
Use external interfaces to separate more channels on stage.
Can I use an audio interface?
- Yes, as long as the device recognizes the interface without an incompatible external driver.
- The app detects the native output and connected interfaces.
Does the number of BUSes change with the interface?
- Yes. The app shows BUSes according to the real number of available channels.
- A multichannel interface can unlock more routing possibilities.
